RBC Newcomers Accessibility Program

The pressure to successfully integrate newcomers is being felt in Alberta. Last year alone, an all-time record of over 200,000 people moved to Alberta. Whether newcomers have long-term or medium-term intentions of staying in Canada, their successful integration into our community while living here is essential.

The objective of the RBC Newcomers Accessibility Program is to better integrate 1,400 newcomers into our society by providing them with opportunities to participate in our community by experiencing concerts/events/performances at Arts Commons such as the award-winning BD&P World Music series, Classic Albums Live, the distinguished speaker series National Geographic Live, and other special presentations that are presented in Arts Commons’ Jack Singer Concert Hall during the 2024-25 Season. Eligibility to participate in the RBC Newcomers Accessibility Program is available to newcomers through the Institute for Canadian Citizenship’s Canoo Access Pass program, in addition to other select charitable organizations in Calgary that work with newcomers.

If you are a new Canadian, you can discover what Arts Commons Presents has to offer through the Institute for Canadian Citizenship's Canoo program. Visit the Canoo website to see if you qualify. If you do, download the app and search through available offers for the Calgary area.
