BD&P World Music

There’s a lot of music out there. So we decided to bring you more by expanding our BD&P World Music
season, to present amazing talent from the furthest corners of earth, as well as those in our own
backyard.

From halfway around the world, to close to home, world music is poignant, powerful, and often
delightfully unexpected in its ability to transport. Chronicling the life of one of music’s greatest performers, PIAF! The Show features Anne Carrere who has been hailed as “Edith Piaf’s legitimate musical heiress,” in a multi-media concert tribute. From Pakistan, The Sachal Ensemble - Song of Lahore is a perfect symbiosis of jazz and traditional Pakistani music inspired by the heartfelt documentary of same name. Needing little introduction, the Marc Cohn Anniversary Show featuring special guests The Blind Boys of Alabama will perform, from start to finish, the album that defined a generation; and wildly engaging cross-cultural performer Lila Downs returns to bring the house down with her soon to be released album. Finally, CHE MALAMBO blends drumming and percussive dance in a powerful, all-male Argentinian spectacular. Subscription renewals are from April 13 - June 8, renew today to keep your BD&P World Music subscription! New subscriptions and single tickets go on sale June 9th.
