Arts Commons Presents is always looking for ways to enhance the season by adding a few “cannot pass up” special presentations. We have been proud to present great comedians like Martin Short, Ali Hassan, and Margaret Cho, as well as fantastic musicians like Mavis Staples, Elvin Bishop, and Charlie Musselwhite.
More than a decade after breaking the internet by dancing on treadmills, OK GO’s zany, impeccably choreographed act has only grown in complexity – and fun. The experimental rockers have turned a car into an instrument, built a giant Rube Goldberg machine and even shot a video in zero-gravity, all of which they incorporate into their live show for an energetic, multi-media experience.
This season, a motley group of campers in search of adventure and thrills decides to hitch up their trailer and out across the American continent. This electrifying Circus by Machine de Cirque takes you on a free, coast-to-cost tour in under an hour with high flying acrobatics, music and a healthy dose of hilarity.
Itty Bitty Arts Day: A Teddy Bear Picnic
Let loose with your little one at Itty Bitty Arts Day: a Teddy Bear Picnic, an open-house art-party for the very young. Babies, toddlers and young children explore an immersive forest environment complete with theatre, music, dance, and art activities, providing everything you need to play, learn, and explore together. Complete with picnic blanket seating, bring your favorite plushie or teddy bear, some nut-free snacks, a cute costume, and enjoy short performances, interactive workshops and lots of crafting and creative play.

Potted Potter takes on the ultimate challenge of condensing all seven Harry Potter books (and a real life game of Quidditch) into seventy hilarious minutes. This fantastically funny show features all your favorite characters, a special appearance from a fire-breathing dragon, endless costumes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic!
