Special Presentations

Arts Commons Presents is always looking for ways to enhance the season by adding a few “cannot pass up” special presentations. We have been proud to present great comedians like Martin Short, Ali Hassan, and Margaret Cho, as well as fantastic musicians like Mavis Staples, Elvin Bishop, and Charlie Musselwhite.

More than a decade after breaking the internet by dancing on treadmills, OK GO’s zany, impeccably choreographed act has only grown in complexity – and fun. The experimental rockers have turned a car into an instrument, built a giant Rube Goldberg machine and even shot a video in zero-gravity, all of which they incorporate into their live show for an energetic, multi-media experience

Cirque Éloize
Swing open the saloon doors and lasso up some fun in the wild, wild west with Cirque Éloize. Theatre and circus collide in a tale of romance and action. Under the spell of the Saloon’s beautiful Belle, our hero sets off on a chase worthy of history’s greatest westerns, using strength, agility and original choreography.

Potted Potter
Potted Potter takes on the ultimate challenge of condensing all seven Harry Potter books (and a real life game of Quidditch) into seventy hilarious minutes. This fantastically funny show features all your favorite characters, a special appearance from a fire-breathing dragon, endless costumes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic!

Lea Salonga

Hear the magic – Lea Salonga provided the singing voices of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan. She played Kim in Broadway’s Miss Saigon, becoming first Asian woman to win a Tony award, and later the first Asian woman to play Éponine and Fantine in London’s Les Misérables – and the list goes on. Hear the magic, live and in person, in the Jack Singer Concert Hall.
