Consider Arts Commons in your will or living trust.
The simplest way to make a planned gift is to include Arts Commons in your will or revocable living trust. If you have already drafted a will, your attorney may add Arts Commons as a beneficiary through a simple amendment called a codicil. Similarly, a gift provision for Arts Commons may be added to a revocable trust agreement.
There are several ways for you to remember Arts Commons in your will or trust:
You may name the organization as a specific beneficiary, stating a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of your estate that you wish to leave Arts Commons.
You may name Arts Commons as a remainder beneficiary, providing for the Centre to receive assets from your estate after all specific beneficiaries have received their assets.
Your gift may also be contingent so that assets go to the Centre if someone named as a beneficiary does not survive you.
In addition to cash, you can bequeath securities, real estate, art and other forms of personal property.
A bequest can be made for the general benefit of Arts Commons or for the benefit of a particular department or program. If you choose to designate your gift, please contact us in advance to ensure that we are able to accommodate your wishes.
