Thomas "Tombone" Dundas

Artist Biography
Thomas “Tombone” Dundas has been playing bass trombone for 15 years and teaching within the arts community for the past 8 years. Since Graduating in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in music from U of C, Thomas has gone on to enjoy a career full of diverse performance and education opportunities. On stage, Tombone can be found backing up rappers or playing with horns bands such as Cowtown Collection and Long Time No Time. At the National Music Centre, Tom can be heard leading drumming activities for guests of all ages or in the classroom enjoying the cacophony of 30 grade school children set loose upon a room full of instruments. Tom is grateful for this opportunity to share his love of music with the inquisitive minds of Calgary.

Cowtown Collection
The Cowtown Collection is an ensemble of marching-arts-trained performers committed to MOOvement and big horn sound. Grazing with a herd of 8, this bovine band is sure to entertain in both theatres and stages alike. This collection of AAA-grade grass-fed Alberta beef is Directed by Joseph McManus and Cadence Sullivan. Cowtown brings clown, drama, music, and multimedia performances to life in an UDDERly amazing way. This group has been SPOTTED performing Cowzilla in the Edmonton Fringe (2022) and rocking the stage at High Performance Rodeo's Curious Yellow Cabaret (2023). This summer Cowtown head for greener pastures and stampeded down to Indianapolis to compete in the marching-arts competition Soundsport, Winning the Ensemble Spirit Award and achieving a Gold rating. The cream rises to the top and Cowtown is a cut above, dedicated to being the greatest band you've ever herd!
