Vishal Saini graduated from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) in Petroleum Land Management. He also completed the University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management Executive Policy Leadership Program and Mount Royal University's Leadership Development Certificate.

Vishal has over a decade working in the private and public sector and is currently the Manager, Lease Administration at Indian Oil and Gas Canada where he collaborates with industry and First Nations to facilitate agreements that balance economic development, reconciliation, and environmental protection.

Vishal is an active participant in Calgary's art and culture scene as a patron and volunteer. Most notably, he joined the Alberta Theatre Projects' Board of Directors in 2015 and was the President of the Board from 2018-2023. He currently sits on the Executive Committee as Past-President.

In addition to enjoying the arts, Vishal is a lifelong Calgarian and a strong advocate for the City and all it has to offer. He and his family can be found biking along the river pathways, and hiking, camping, and skiing in the mountains.
