Volunteer Roles

Special Events – Currently accepting volunteers

Our Special Events volunteers play a crucial role in bringing a variety of our events to life. Whether it be seasonal events like Plaza for All, support at summer festivals, or any of the exciting myriad of one-off events we have throughout the year, our Special Events volunteers support in making sure staff, patrons, guests and the general public are supported and that events can go off without a hitch. Support with each event may vary depending on the type of event, but as a volunteer you can expect to assist with a variety of key event functions such as: welcoming guests, providing event information, guiding attendees through various activities, assisting staff or facilitators with workshops, ensuring that we are managing our green efforts through the collection of trash and recycling, and supporting with setup and teardown efforts. As a Special Events volunteer, you’ll help to create vibrant atmospheres and enjoyable experiences while ensuring that our events run smoothly. Your involvement will help foster a sense of community in support of the arts, making each event memorable for all who attend.

  • Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit to shifts that match their availability, typically ranging from a few hours to a full day, depending on the event.
  • Flexibility: Due to the nature of events, some flexibility in scheduling is appreciated, especially when events run longer than anticipated or when additional support is needed.
  • Advance Notice: Volunteers will receive advance notice of upcoming events and shift opportunities, allowing them to plan and confirm their participation.
