Over the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world felt suspended, inert. We had entered one door but hadn't yet exited another. It was an uncomfortable place, stressful, but also liberating - and in this cabaret, artists embraced this liminal world and welcomed audiences to join them.

Focusing on themes of transformation, transitory spaces and the unknown, Two Doors: Dispatches from the In-Between explores where we are when we’re neither here nor there, and what pathway can lead us over the threshold to the world waiting on the other side.

Captured live in the Engineered Air Theatre in Arts Commons in November 2021 as part of the 2021-22 season of Arts Commons Presents, Two Doors: Dispatches from the In-Between features performances by Jon McCaslin, Lisa La Touche, Uyemi, and Wakefield Brewster, and was curated by 2021-22 TD Incubator Fellows, Jae Sterling and Contra.
