Stupid F##king Bird

Stupid F##king Bird
by Aaron Posner
(Sort of adapted from The Seagull by Anton Chekov)

Directed by Josephine Christensen

Stupid F##king Bird is a witty and satirical take on Anton Chekov’s classic play The Seagull.

Posner uses Chekov’s classic tale to explore the absurdity and foolishness of the human condition. Unrequited love, failed dreams and the frustration of communicating through the generation gap, underscore the question of what it means to make art and to be an artist in the 21st century. Posner’s quick, smart dialogue and meta-theatricality will intrigue newcomers and fans of the old classic alike.
