Calgary Downtown Association and Arts Commons Presents
Truck Stop by Machine de Cirque
August 10, 2018
Municipal Plaza, outside City Hall
5:00pm & 8:00pm
A motley group of campers in search of adventure and thrills decides to hitch up their trailer and head out across Canada. With a well-stocked cooler, windows wide open and music blaring, they are all set for an epic odyssey on wheels.
This electrifying circus by Machine de Cirque takes you on a coast-to-cost tour in under an hour with high flying acrobatics, music and a healthy dose of hilarity.
Expect to see six different sets – all unpacked from a single trailer – portraying the crossing of Canada from east to west, from the Atlantic coasts to the Prairies and through the Rockies.
In case of rain, bring an umbrella, because the show will go on in a modified format!
Brought to you by the Calgary Downtown Association and Arts Commons, this is a FREE show for families and children of all ages.
*No Seating provided. Please feel free to bring your own low-height festival chairs and snacks!
The fun doesn’t stop there! In addition to seeing the circus, drop by Arts Commons across McLeod Trail for Happenings, featuring performances, crafts, and activities from local circus artists, performers, and visual artists from 4:00pm to 8:00pm!
