Empathy Week Wishing Wall
In partnership with Arts Commons, Canadian Cultural Mosaic Foundation, and Humainologie
Created by Iman Bukhari
Exhibition: June 4 – June 14, 2019
Do you have a wish or prayer? Write it down on a ribbon and tie it on the wall. While you’re at it, read someone else’s wish to gain perspective.
As a society, we’re shut off. We often don’t communicate nor do we express our feelings. Empathy as a concept comes from sharing. What have you wanted to share, but are afraid to? And what do you think others want to share? Perhaps it’s a big house, a job, or for health. Let’s take the step in finding out.
This interactive art display takes place during Empathy Week, a seven-day festival of events which promote empathy, human connection and the recognition of our shared humanity. Created by Iman Bukhari, in partnership with Canadian Cultural Mosaic Foundation, Humainologie and Arts Commons.
