Established in 2013, Le Cirque de la Nuit is a one of a kind creative collective based out of Calgary, Alberta that specializes in the development and execution of truly immersive and memorable performance based experiences. Cirque brings together the very best performers from across Canada and merges their talents with generous creative capacity for production, choreography, custom made props, decor, costumes, music and visual effects, creating a multidimensional experience.

TOO ATTACHED is two siblings: Vivek Shraya & Shamik Bilgi. VIVEK is a multidisciplinary artist whose album with Queer Songbook Orchestra, Part-Time Woman, was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize. SHAMIK is a producer and beatboxer who has performed in 15 countries and toured with Method Man & Redman, Bassnectar, and Tanya Tagaq.

Most recently, Too Attached were listed as one of IN Magazine’s 2018 Canadian Artists To Watch and their newest album, ANGRY, was described by CBC as one of “Canada’s most incisive, radical and galvanizing albums.”
Partnering and participating with evolve: pride amplified sends a bold message to queer youth that they are loved, valued, and welcome; and that we need them as part of a diverse, compassionate and culturally vibrant landscape here in Calgary!

Alberta Theatre Projects (ATP) has been the resident tenant in the courtyard-shaped, Georgian-style Martha Cohen Theatre since 1985. Tiered levels of seats form a three-quarter circle around the performing area eliminating the separation between the audience and performers. The farthest seat from the stage is a mere 39 feet away.

Situated in the heart of Arts Commons beside Jack Singer Concert Hall, Martha Cohen Theatre received state-of-the-art sound upgrade in 2014, as well as all new seats and a new lighting console in 2016, ensuring that it remains at the top of theatre industry standard. The Martha Cohen Theatre was named after the late Dr. Martha Cohen ($1M donated by her husband in honour of her birthday).
