Springbank Dancers Year End Recital

Springbank Dancers Inc. is proud to present three different Year End Performances, showcasing all of our dancers. Each show will include class routines and competition routines.

Show A, “Rising Performers,” at 10:30 AM includes dancers around age 3 to 8, doing Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Acro, and Lyrical/Contemporary! These young performers have worked very hard throughout the season to gain the confidence to go on stage and show off what they’ve learned this season! This first show will run around 60-75min in length.

Show B, “Dancing Stars,” at 1:30 PM includes mostly dancers around age 9+, doing Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Acro, and Lyrical/Contemporary. Our Show will also begin with our Competitive Open Line of “The Pride”!!! Please cheer loud…these dancers are dedicated, passionate, and ready to flourish! This second show will run around 2-2.5 hrs in length.

Show C, “Chasing Dreams,” at 6:00 PM includes mostly dancers age 13+, doing Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Acro, and Lyrical/Contemporary. Our Show will also begin with our Competitive Open Line of “The Pride”!!! There are not enough words to describe the beauty and talent in this show. Each dancer is unique and strong as individuals, but altogether, you will be amazed! This third show will run around 2-2.5hrs in length and begin with a presentation about our Duke of Edinburgh Award program.

Thank you for coming out to support our dancers and encourage their passion and growth!

Alberta Theatre Projects (ATP) has been the resident tenant in the courtyard-shaped, Georgian-style Martha Cohen Theatre since 1985. Tiered levels of seats form a three-quarter circle around the performing area eliminating the separation between the audience and performers. The farthest seat from the stage is a mere 39 feet away.

Situated in the heart of Arts Commons beside Jack Singer Concert Hall, Martha Cohen Theatre received state-of-the-art sound upgrade in 2014, as well as all new seats and a new lighting console in 2016, ensuring that it remains at the top of theatre industry standard. The Martha Cohen Theatre was named after the late Dr. Martha Cohen ($1M donated by her husband in honour of her birthday).
