The margins of the Black community move to the front and center as the We Gon Be Alright Cabaret highlights the resilience of Black women and Queer Black folks in tumultuous and uncertain times.
This event is best suited for people 16-years and older due to mature content.
This performance is approx. 90-minutes in duration with one 15-minute intermission

To make planning your trip a bit easier, the most convenient parking can be found in the Arts Commons Parkade or across the street in the City Hall Parkade (attached by a +15 with an elevator). Arts Commons is also easily accessible by Calgary Transit (the C-Train is a block away) and the Centre City Cycle Track Network (there are bike racks out front of each entrance on 8th Ave SE). If you are using Access Calgary, the best location for drop-off / pick-up is on 8th Ave SE between MacLeod Trail and 1st Street SE in front of ‘Centre Court’ immediately across from Olympic Plaza.

Completed in 1994 the Engineered Air Theatre carries on the tradition of having a theatre located in its exact location for over 100 years, even incorporating rescued decorative elements from the old Empress Theatre into both its theatre and lobby design. In the summer of 2016, the Engineered Air had a face lift with the comfier chairs and updated décor.
