ARTIST STATEMENT:

In the night she finds a way’ Is an assemblage that begins with a set of lyrical abstract paintings, each were created in a single painting event, soaking the canvas and allowing the work to emerge as it dries. The paintings are paired with textiles and found objects, and then installed in a site-specific installation. The components of this installation are installed in many variations, each unique and responding to the space. This is an exploration of improvisation and intuition, purposefully in-between, always changing, and never finished.
