Elgar’s Cello Concerto

Experience the passionate intensity of Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto, as
interpreted by award-winning Canadian cellist Stéphane Tétreault. Composed in the aftermath of WWI, it is a wistful but compassionate reflection on human suffering. Conductor Ramón Tebar then leads the Calgary Phil in Sergei Rachmaninoff’s final orchestral masterpiece, the Symphonic Dances. Combining big melodies, harmonic lushness, and rhythmic drive, it’s a sonic feast for the ears!
