Kateryna is a Ukrainian visual artist with a master's in graphic design from Kyiv. She transitioned from digital to traditional art in 2017, specializing in watercolor. Her work explores the beauty of everyday life and the balance between external and internal worlds.

Artist Statement

Soul Light in Simple Things captures the atmosphere of Kateryna's studio. It’s filled with the kinds of items you’d see if you stopped by for tea: her paintings, brushes, paints, favorite books, and lovely cups. Since emigrating, the feeling of having a space that feels truly “hers,” where she can be authentic, has become especially important to her. That’s why recreating a cozy corner of her world, even if it’s just a small part of a gallery, feels so meaningful. It’s a story about who she is.

Kateryna reflects on how the objects we choose tell their own stories about us. While we are more than these things, they are what we share with the world and how we find those who resonate with us.
