Werklund Centre and Wordfest present

An Evening with Louise Penny

Werklund Centre and Wordfest are thrilled to co-present this intimate conversation with Louise Penny, hosted by Wordfest CEO & Creative Ringleader Shelley Youngblut, followed by an audience Q&A. Tickets for this exclusive Werklund Centre event at the Jack Singer Concert Hall go on sale on May 15.

Louise Penny is the widely acclaimed (and beloved) author of the Chief Inspector Gamache novels set in her home province of Québec, Canada. Her books have sold more than 18 million copies worldwide, topped Canadian, American charts and international bestseller lists, and been translated into 35 languages. She’ll be giving her Calgary fans invaluable insights into her life and work, including the much-anticipated 20th mystery in the Inspector Gamache series The Black Wolf releasing on October 28, 2025. Signed copies of The Black Wolf, along with Penny’s previous titles, will be available for purchase at the event thanks to Owl's Nest Books, Calgary’s oldest independent bookseller.
