Hailing from the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Social Tango Project is a dance company founded in Buenos Aires by choreographer Agustina Videla and Ramon de Oliveira Cezar that is dedicated to bringing the rich cultural heritage of tango to life. Captivating audiences around the world with their precision, grace, and emotional intensity, the Social Tango Project’s show – Social Tango – also celebrates the art form as a pivotal part of Argentina's social fabric.

On stage, audiences will experience the intricate footwork, sensual movements, evocative storytelling of a milonga by multidisciplinary choreographer Agustina Videla, performed by ten dancers on stage, accompanied by live musicians. Meanwhile, documentary photos and film by Argentine photographer Nora Lezano reveal the history behind the dance being performed.

Finally, after the show in the Jack Singer Concert Hall lobby at Arts Commons, audiences are invited to join in a group milonga, with local dancers and live instruction from the Social Tango Project.
