Arts Commons Presents: National Geographic Live
- A Wild Life with Bertie Gregory
CALGARY – Arts Commons Presents welcomes an ambitious young explorer, National Geographic Live photographer Bertie Gregory with A Wild Life on March 4 & 5, 2018 in the Jack Singer Concert Hall.
Never one to balk at an adventure, Bertie Gregory has been working the field since the day he graduated with First Class Honours in Zoology. Mentored by National Geographic legend Steve Winter, Bertie has stalked leopards in Sri Lanka, and pursued costal wolves on Vancouver Island. His television series wild_life was National Geographic’s first completely wildlife series online series.
“I just want people more excited about wildlife in general. I want people to get off their iPads and their iPhones, and to get outside and get up close and personal with nature because it’s good for your soul, and everyone needs it,” says Bertie. “And there’s wildlife anywhere. It doesn’t matter where you live, even in a city. I’ve photographed tons of wildlife in cities. You just got to look hard enough, so it doesn’t matter where you live.”
See Bertie Gregory get up close with a black bear off the coast of Vancouver Island.
