Arts Commons Presents:
National Indigenous Peoples Day

CALGARY – Arts Commons, in partnership with Sled Island, Treaty 7 Film Collective, IRIM (Indigenous Resilience in Music), Drum Beat and CBC Calgary are proud to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21 at Arts Commons. This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Beginning at 11:30 a.m. there will be a free mini Pow Wow featuring traditional drumming, song and dance, a meet and greet, workshop and a performance with Hip-Hop duos Snotty Nose Rez Kids and Mob Bounce – plus a selection of films from imagineNATIVE, the world’s largest presenter of Indigenous film.

There’s a ton to see and do with a ton of opportunities for on-site interviews and great visuals.
