Arts Commons Presents: Weather the storm with Cirque Flip Fabrique: Blizzard

CALGARY – Juggling snowballs is a natural starting point for Cirque Flip Fabrique’s Blizzard, which quickly evolves into backflips, summersaults, and gravity-defying leaps into the air, set against blowing snow and wind on stage.

This Quebec circus company is at the peak of their game, having performed more than 500 times across the globe – including events with internationally renowned Cirque du Soleil. Their latest show, Blizzard has received rave reviews and now comes to the Jack Singer Concert Hall stage on January 21, 2020, as part of the BD&P World Stage series

More than just athleticism, this family-friendly show uses its gorgeous snowy set and a light dose of humour to tell the story of a tight-knit group of friends who must survive a winter storm using their unique skills and acrobatic specialties. It’s not a far throw from real life either – Flip was founded by a group of tight-knit friends from Quebec who know all too well the harsh cold of a Canadian winter.

Don’t miss the show that’s taken the globe by storm!
