Arts Commons Presents:
Amplify Cabaret: Love Notes
CALGARY – Join Arts Commons Presents for an evening of uplifting positivity with poets and musicians. Love Notes takes place on Friday, March 27 & Saturday, March 28 in the Engineered Air Theatre.
Hosted and curated by Harpreet M. Dayal, a British born South Asian artist, the evening is themed around the power of art to build connection, cultivate love, and to heal.
As an artist working in community engagement, Harpreet founded the Love Notes project with the mission to encourage positivity and healing through the arts. She hopes to empower people to connect with their inner strength, change the narrative and to practice love as a daily mantra. She aspires to create safer spaces to gather, create, and connect with one another around the most powerful human quality – love.
“I started this project because we live in a time where we are surrounded by negative narratives, acts of violence, hate crimes and racism,” says Harpreet. “The world is calling out to all of us to come together in kindness and compassion. I wanted to do my small part, and so I brought together artists to send out a love note to the universe.”
Love Notes features performances by: Aya Mhana, Erin Grace, Saranjot Singh, Sharanpal Ruprai, and aloT of Poetry.
