Arts Commons Presents: National Geographic Live Virtual presentation Life on Other Worlds
CALGARY – In the second presentation of Arts Commons Presents: National Geographic Live Virtual, we invite you to explore the infinite possibilities of space with Life on Other Worlds with Kobie Boykins and Kevin Peter Hand on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 7pm.
Deputy chief scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Kevin Peter Hand has made it his life’s work to study the extreme environments on Earth to better understand how life could survive even more inhospitable conditions on Europa and Enceladus (the moons of Jupiter and Saturn). He is joined by Kobie Boykins, a dynamic young engineer at NASA‘s Jet Propulsion Laboratory who designed the solar arrays that power the Mars exploration rovers, Spirit and Opportunity. Together, these brilliant minds will take audiences on a journey to the stars and beyond - from the safety and comfort of home.
Free tickets to each speaker presentation must be booked online or by calling the Arts Commons Box Office in advance of the presentation. This opportunity is exclusive to Calgary (and area).
