This season, Arts Commons Presents brings you a lineup of fantastic artists and speakers from around the globe and close to home.

Our BD&P World Music series turns 20 this year (20 years!!) and we mark this momentous occasion with a shift from BD&P World Music to BD&P World Stage. The series kicks off with a deeply personal performance by Rosanne Cash before honouring global luminaries like Charles Aznavour and Martin Luther King Jr, in unique, multimedia productions. Our TD Jazz series remains a melody of emerging and timeless artists, opening with the insurmountable Joshua Redman Quartet, followed by fan favourites The Hot Sardines and the rising star Jazzmeia Horn, and then wrapping with the awe-inspiring Maria Schneider Orchestra. Our always popular National Geographic Live series puts the spotlight on conservation armies, the world’s most venomous creatures, animals nearing extinction, and a special focus on powerful women in history. PCL Blues includes some of the best voices in the genre, including Jontavious Willis, Maria Muldaur, and Calgary’s own Tim Williams. Finally, Classic Albums Live delivers a healthy dose of nostalgia with Pink Floyd’s The Wall, Tim Petty’s Damn the Torpedoes, and The Beatles seminal Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
