As Procurement Development Manager, Heather Campbell supports the AESO’s efforts in development of the Renewable Electricity Program and other procurement development activities within ancillary services and bulk transmission.
Ms. Campbell has a diverse energy industry career spanning two decades, having held technical, commercial, and business advisory positions within petrochemicals, oil and gas, energy consultancies, and energy industries. Heather gained her foundation skills by working with NOVA Chemicals, ARC Resources, ICF International, and through the leadership and operation of Enthalpic Strategies, a consultancy specialized in management, business, and technical advisory for energy policy, energy strategy, and energy development. Prior to joining the AESO, Ms. Campbell was a Regional Director with Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) acting to nurture, build, launch, and grow successful Canadian clean technology companies.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in Biochemical and Chemical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Laws in Energy Law and Policy from the University of Dundee. She is a licensed Professional Engineer practicing in Alberta, Canada.
Ms. Campbell is an engaged, lifelong community volunteer, actively sharing her talents, resources and time by participating and often leading a purposely diverse range of organizations. Heather is a member of the Advisory Council for Western Engineering, and is vice-president of the board of Downstage Theatre, theatre that creates conversations around social issues.
