Holly Schile is the Fine and Performing Arts Consultant with Instructional Services, at the Calgary Catholic School District. She oversees all forms of the fine and performing arts for levels K-12. She holds an undergraduate degree from McGill University where she studied music performance, the visual arts and education and completed a Master’s of Education from Concordia University. Ms. Schile has over 20 years of teaching experience and has taught all grade levels, including diverse learners, Advanced Placement and the International Baccalaureate. She was honored to be a recipient of a Shepherd Leadership Award and an Alberta Provincial Excellence in Teaching Award.
Ms. Schile coordinates and delivers professional development to teachers and is involved with the arts community personally, professionally, and educationally through various stakeholders across Canada.
One of her key focus areas and passion is arts integration. She feels strongly that the arts are an integral part of the community and loves the impact and power the arts have when opportunities imbed cultural richness and beauty through sharing one’s story.
